Question 1001252: Find the intercepts and use them to graph the equation. y=2x-2
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! To find the intercepts, you make one of the variables equal to zero...then find the value of the other variable...
For example, to find the x-intercept, make y = 0 and get
0=2x-2
2=2x
x=1
and that point is (1,0)
Then find the y-intercept by making x equal to zero, and get
y=0-2=-2 and
and that point is (0,-2)
Plot them both and connect them to find the line.
