You can put this solution on YOUR website!

x%2F2%2By%2F4=1.....eq.1..........both sides divide by 2
-x%2F4-y%2F8=1.......eq.2
------------------
x%2F4%2By%2F8=1%2F2.....eq.1
-x%2F4-y%2F8=1.......eq.2
----------------------------add both eq.1 and eq.2
x%2F4%2By%2F8-x%2F4-y%2F8=1%2F2%2B1

solve each equation by addition method
x/2+y/4=1
-x/4-y/8=1
Simply multiply each equation by its LCD
x%2F2+%2B+y%2F4+=+1 -------- eq (i)
%28-+x%29%2F4+-+y%2F8+=+1 -------- eq (ii)
2x + y = 4 ----- Multiplying eq (i) by LCD, 4
- 2x - y = 8 ----- Multiplying eq (ii) by LCD, 8
0+%2B+0+%3C%3E+12 ------> False, so NO SOLUTION
