Question 610011: Line segment BA and line segment BC are tangent to circle O at A and C, respectfully. How would I write a two column proof to prove that line segment BA is congruent to line segment BC????please help i"m so lost!!!! Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the segments are tangent, so they are perpendicular to a radius at the points of tangency, A and C
OB is the hypotenuse of the two congruent right triangles formed by BA, BC and the radii at A and C
the two right triangles are congruent by hypotenuse-leg (OB and the two radii)
