Question 181331: # 40 is similar to this
evaluate the function
f(x) {x^2-4 x<3 (that is suppose to be < with a line under it - less than or equal to
{1-2x^2 x >3
at f(-1) f(4) f(1)
This is what I have
f(x) x^2-4
f(-1) = -1^2-4 = -3
f(x) 1-2x^2
f(4) = 1-2(4)^2 = 1-2(16) = 1-32 = -31
f(x) x^2 -4
f(1) = 1^2 -4 = -3
