Question 899485: I'm a bit stuck on a multi-part problem, and it's actually holding me up from finishing the rest of my problems.
g(x)=(x-5)^2 Use function notation to write g in terms of f.
g(x)=f(*answer goes here*)
That's the problem. So far I've identified the common function as being x^2, described the sequence of transformations, and sketched a graph, but the final portion asks me to use function notation to write out the equation, and my book just absolutely skips over this without a single mention of how to proceed. I'd greatly appreciate any help.
