Question 885328: Hi, I'm Nicolene,
I am having some trouble with a question that states: Show that f(x) = 1/(x-2) and f⁻Ή(x) = (2x+1)/x are inverses of each other by showing that
a) f(f⁻Ή(x)) = x
b) f⁻Ή(f(x)) = x
In part a) I got to f(f⁻Ή(x))= f((2x+1)/x) = 1/(2x+1/x)-2
I am stuck on finding the LCD of the fraction to get the equation to equal x. Can you please help me or explain how to get the LCD?
