Question 1075366: Given the graph below, write the radical function for f(x).
These are the coordinates that I took from my homework:
(-2,3)(-1,2)(2,1)(7,0)
I am sorry if I don't have a graph to place on this website, but radical function means A function that contains a radical expression with the independent variable in the radicand. Also a radicand is the number or expression inside a radical symbol.

Question 1075773: For each function f in Exercises 53-60, find f(-2) & f(5).
53. f={(-1,18), (-2,12), (0,4), (5,4), (-3,4)}
55. f={(-3/4,-1), (-2,4), (5,2), (8,10)}
I've never seen these types of problems before, & my professor never went over on how to deal with them.

Question 1075999: Find the inverse of each of the following functions.State the domain of the inverse function:
a) f:[-1,4]-R,f(x) 10-9x
I got f(x)= -(x-10)/9
b) f: (-6,infinity)-R, f(x)=(x+7)^2
I only got as far as (6+7)^2= f^-1(x)

Question 1076077: Given: f(x)=x^2+27/x
Ultimately, I am supposed to analyze the graph of this function, but my immediate question is ONLY regarding what text says should be first step: "First, write f(x) as an improper rational function in lowest terms."
They show: f(x)=x^2+27/x = (x^3+27)/x.
I don't understand this result.
Does not multiplying both terms by "x" (the LCD) eliminate the fraction, resulting in just x^3+27 ?
Thank you.
