Question 1050963: Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Does the relationship below represent a function? Why or why not
Manufacturer (x) Model (Y)
Ford Taurus
Chevrolet Legend
Chrysler 300
Ford Mustand
Volks Bug
Pontiac 300
I say no because of the repeating of Ford in the X value. Manufacturer(Ford) can only represent 1 y or Model for it to be a function.

Question 1051160: How would you identify the domain of 1 over cubed root x+7? or square root x-1 over 2x-3?
I want to say the cubed root is all real numbers and the square root in the numerator x cannot equal 1 or 3 but that's a guess. What's an easy way to see the domain of roots set up like this?

Question 1051362: A quarterback throws a football with an initial velocity of 72 ft/sec at an angle of 25°. The height of the ball can be modeled by h(t) = -16t^2 + 30.4t + 5 where h(t) is the height (in ft) and t is the time in seconds after release.
a. Determine the time at which the ball will be at its maximum height.
b. Determine the maximum height of the ball.
c. Determine the amount of time required for the ball to reach the receiver’s hands if the receiver catches the ball at a point 3 ft off the ground.

Question 1051756: A company is considering building a
manufacturing plant. They determine the
weekly production cost at site A to be
𝐴(𝑥) = 3𝑥^2
while the production cost at site
B is 𝐵(𝑥) = 8𝑥 + 3, where x represents the
number of products, in hundreds, and A(x)
and B(x) are the production costs, in
hundreds of dollars. If the company plans
on manufacturing 200 products per week,
which site should they use? Justify your
answer.
