You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.  A polynomial of degree n has at most 
    n-1 turning points, but it can have
    fewer.

    A. If it is of even degree it must have
       at least 1 turning point.
    B. If it is of odd degree it may even
       have no turning points.

2.  A polynomial has a local extremum at
    each of its turning points.

That's all the information you need.
