Question 882853: example of not function

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%5E2%2By%5E2=9
It's a circle centered at (0,0) with a radius of 3.
It's not a function because for x=0, there are two solutions for y(y=3 and y=-3).
This violates the definition of function which states there is one unique value of y for each x.
