Question 717728: I need to have a grasp on determining if a function is injective, surjective or bijective. I understand what the terms mean but need an algabraic means of determination for each with, perhaps if it is not asking too much, an explanitory deally alongside them.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I need to have a grasp on determining if a function is
-------
injective: each domain value is mapped to an element in the image
space; but 1 or more of the image space values is not mapped to
(1,a),(2,b),(3,4) defined on A===>B
----------------------
surjective: at least one element of the domain is mapped to more
than one element of the image space
(1,a)(2,a)(3,b)(4,c) defined on A===>B
-------------------------------
bijective: each domain value is mapped to an element in the image
space and each element of the image space is mapped to.
(1,a)(2,b)(3,c)(4,d) defined on A===>B
-------
Domain: A: {1,2,3,4}
Image space: B: {a,b,c,d]
---------------------------------
