Question 678975: Hello -
I am having trouble solving the two equations below where i have to find the domain. I am using the quadratic formula to solve them. Because i thought it would be the easiest way to solve it.. But i am running into errors obtaining the final answer. Can someone explain.
1) f(x) = (x^4-8x^3+9)/3x^2-5x-28
2) f(x) = x^2+3x-13
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) where the denominator cannot be zero
3x%5E2-5x-28+=+0
(3x+7)(x-4) = 0
Domain is all real numbers except 4 and -7%2F3

...
2) domain is all real numbers
