We are given g(x)=3x-4. To solve g(2a+1) all we need to do is to plug 2a+1 into the original equation for x and simplify!
g(2a+1) = 3(2a+1)-4 ------> Multiply the 3 into 2a+1
= [3(2a) + 3(1)] - 4
= 6a + 3 - 4
= 6a - 1.
