(f - g)(x) is "lazy mathematician" for f(x) - g(x)
So, we have:
5/x + 4 - (x/x + 4)
5/x + 4 - x/x - 4 (distributed the "-" before the parenthesis)
(5 - x)/x (combined like terms)
