You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do you figure out the domain for x=y+1 for x={-2,-1,0,1,2}
PUT THE GIVEN VALUES OF X IN THE GIVEN EQN.AND FIND Y.THAT IS THE DOMAIN WE CAN SAY.
NORMALLY WE DEFINE Y AS DEPENDENT VARIABLE AND X AS INDEPENDENT VARIABLE.
WE CALL VALUES OF X AS DOMAIN
AND THOSE OF Y AS RANGE.
HERE IT IS REVERSED.
SO WE GET
X=............-2.........-1...........0...........1..............2
Y=X-1=........-2-1=-3....-1-1=-2......0-1=-1......1-1=0..........2-1=1
SO DOMAIN IS (-3,-2,-1,0,1)
