You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ln(5x + 4) – ln(3) = ln(3x +1)
minus in logs mean divide so we can write this
ln%28%285x%2B4%29%2F3%29 = ln(3x + 1)
if the ln's are equal, the values are equal so we can write it
%285x%2B4%29%2F3 = (3x + 1)
multiply both sides by 3, get rid of the fraction
5x + 4 = 3(3x+1)
5x + 4 = 9x + 3
4 - 3 = 9x - 5x
1 = 4x
x = 1%2F4

We can confirm this in the original equation using a calc, x=.25
enter: ln((5*.25)+ 4) - ln(3) ~ .5596
enter: ln((3*.25)+ 1) ~ .5596
