Question 454981: I need help with this problem:
For P(x)=x^18+15^13+6^3-5x-1 with justification, list all possible rational zeros. For the same polynomial above, use Descarte´s Rule of Signs to determine how many positive real roots are possible.
Thank you very much.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! For P(x)=x^18+15^13+6^3-5x-1 with justification, list all possible rational zeros. For the same polynomial above, use Descarte´s Rule of Signs to determine how many positive real roots are possible.
---
Possible Real Roots are p/q where p is a factor of -1 and q is a factor of 1
Possible Real Roots are +1 or -1
------------------------------------
Decarte's Rule
P(x) has one change of sign.
# of positive real roots = # of changes of sign - {0 or 2 or 4 etc}
-------------------------------------
Additional information can be found using Google to
search for "DesCarte's Rule of Signs".
