c(h) stands for the cost as a function of the hours rented

the 2.275 is the hourly rate , and the 3 is a fixed cost (like a handling charge)

to find the hours for a $36 cost , just plug into the equation

36 = 2.275h + 3 ___ 33 = 2.275h ___ 33 / 2.275 = h
