Question 336764: I am working on finding the equation of a circle, but it's kind of confusing. Can you explain it to me?
My current problem is the center of the circle is (6,-5) and it passes through (1,7) I have to find the algebraic equation for the circle. Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use the distance formula to find the radius.
The distance from the center of a circle to any point on the circle is equal to the radius.
Then plug that into the general equation for a circle centered at (h,k) with radius R
Simplify the right hand side to get the final answer.
