Question 152277: f(x)= 1/ X-3
here it is given that X is not equal to -3
solution
domain = set of all real no's except -3
range = set of all real no's except 0 << here i m confused from where did this zero come from.just this part.
-------------
also like in this question
f(x)= x-1/x-4 , given that x is not equal to 4
here doman is = set of real nos except 4
and range is set of all real nos except -1<< again from where did -1 come from.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! f(x)= 1/ X-3
here it is given that X is not equal to -3
solution
domain = set of all real no's except -3
range = set of all real no's except 0 << here i m confused from where did this zero come from.just this part.
Solution:
domain = set of all real no's except 3 = {x/x is not 3}
range = set of all real no's except 0, to see this you have to graph f(x) an you can see that y=0 is the asypthote so function's value never reachs 0
f(x)= x-1/x-4 , given that x is not equal to 4
here doman is = set of real nos except 4
and range is set of all real nos except 1={x/x is not 1}
to see this you have to graph f(x) an you can see that y=1 is the asypthote so function's value never reachs 1
