You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) = 5x -3
where x=1, 2, 4, 8, and 16.

f(1)=5(1)-3
f(1)=2

f(2)=5(2)-3
f(2)=7

f(4)=5(4)-3
f(4)=17

f(8)=5(8)-3
f(8)=37

f(16)=5(16)-3
f(16)=77

Differences in order are 5, 10, 20, and 40. Therefore, the rate of increase doubles every time the value for x doubles. For every increasing value of x, f(x) increases by 5. In other words, f%28x%2B1%29=f%28x%29%2B5. This also can be described as f%282x%29=f%28x%29%2B5x.
