You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm assuming the function is f%28x%29+=+-%281%2F3%29x-1

If so, then replace f(x) with x. Afterwards, solve for x

f%28x%29+=+-%281%2F3%29x-1

x+=+-%281%2F3%29x-1

3%2Ax+=+3%2A%28-%281%2F3%29x-1%29 Multiply both sides by 3 (to clear out the fraction)

3%2Ax+=+-x-3 Distribute

3%2Ax%2Bx+=+-x-3%2Bx Add x to both sides

4x+=+-3

%284x%29%2F4+=+-3%2F4 Divide both sides by 4 to isolate x

x+=+-3%2F4

The answer is x+=+-3%2F4
