Distance is the sqrt (sum of the squared differences)= sqrt ((1.5-2)^2+x^2)=5, and squaring both sides means .5^2+x^2=x^2+.25=25
x^2=24.75
x=4.97
(4.97,2) and (9.94, 1.5)
The distance is sqrt (.5^2+4.97^2)=sqrt (.25+24.70)=sqrt (24.95)=5 with rounding.
