The domain is the set of real numbers that x can be so that f(x) is defined.
f%28x%29=1%2F%28x%2B4%29
If your case, f(x) would be undefined if the denominator equals zero, since division by zero is underfined.
x%2B4=0
x=-4
Therefore your domain is all real numbers except x=-4.
