f(x)= 7 - 4x^3
y = 7 - 4x^3
swap x and y
x = 7 - 4y^2
solve for y
x - 7 = -4y^3
%28%28x-7%29%29%2F%28-4%29%29%29 = y^3
find the cube root of both sides
y = 3sqrt%28%28x-7%29%2F-4%29
