Question 1019876: ) Find an equation of a line with the given properties and express the equation in slope-intercept form.
Passing through the point (2,7) and with slope ⅓
I may be heading the wrong direction with this one but I found a video that gave an example to use.
y=mx+b
and I have gotten this far with that ^
y=1/3x+ and then I've got nothing.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the point-slope form of a line,
y-7=%281%2F3%29%28x-2%29
y-7=%281%2F3%29x-2%2F3
y=%281%2F3%29x-2%2F3%2B21%2F3
y=%281%2F3%29x%2B19%2F3
.
.
.
You could also start with slope-intercept form and use the point to solve for b.
y=mx%2Bb
7=%281%2F3%292%2Bb
b=21%2F3-2%2F3
b=19%2F3
y=%281%2F3%29x%2B19%2F3
.
