You can put this solution on YOUR website!

f(x) = 2x + 1 and g(x) = %283x+-+1%29%2F2

g(f(x)) = g(2x + 1) --> %283%282x+%2B+1%29+-+1%29%2F2

solve for g(f(3)):

%283%282x+%2B+1%29+-+1%29%2F2 replace x with 3,

%283%282%283%29+%2B+1%29+-+1%29%2F2

%2821+-+1%29%2F2+=+10

Note: you can also simplify %283%282x+%2B+1%29+-+1%29%2F2 as follows:
%28%286x+%2B+3%29+-+1%29%2F2 = %286x+%2B+2%29%2F2 = 3x+%2B+1

Then replace x with 3 when solving for g(f(3)) to obtain 3(3) + 1 = 10.

Either way the answer is the same :)
