You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=a
f(a)=3(a)+7
and f(x)= 5x-8
find all x and y intercepts.
You need to make a table choosing values for x and solving for y.
Even though there is no y, when you choose a value for your x the answer is y.
f(x)=a
this one; no matter what you plug in for x you will always get a, so it is a horizontal line if you were to graph.
f(a)=3(a)+7
choose values for "a", and anywhere you see an "a" in the equation you plug in the chosen value, and the answer is your "y".
let a = 1;
f(1)=3(1)+7
f(1)=10
so x = 1, y = 10
f(x)=5x-8
let x = 1;
f(1)=5(1)-8
f(1)=-3
x=1, y = -3
Hope you understand
