Question 829737: At Market A , 1-lb packages of rice are sold for $2. At Market B rice is sold in bulk for $2/lb. For each Market write a function describing the cost of buying rice in terms of the weight. How are domains of the 2 functions different?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The biggest difference IS the domain of each market for pounds of rice. Market B, selling rice in "bulk", allows a continuous quantity of rice for each or any purchase, while market A allows only Natural numbered poundages of rice for any purchase.

Same function, but different domains.
Domain for market A is Natural numbers;
domain for market B is positive Real numbers up to the maximum quantity of rice in stock.
