Question 660651: Find the Domain of the function: y= square root (13-x)
How do you know the domain?
Answer by Shana-D77(132) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the Domain of the function: y= square root (13-x)
Since we can't take square roots of negative numbers, we have to look at what values of x will make your square root a negative number. Zero is ok; we can take the square root of zero (it equals zero). But, -1 is not ok. So...
12 works
13 works
but 14 doesn't work! (13 - 14 = -1)
So, your domain is "all Real numbers less than or equal to 13"
