put this solution on YOUR website!
You cannot divide by zero
So y+1 cannot be zero
If it were, then y + 1 = 0, which would mean that y = -1
So if y = -1, then y + 1 = 0, which would cause a division by zero error.
To avoid this, we exclude this value from the domain.
So the domain is the set of all real numbers, but y cannot equal -1.
