Let x and 3x represent the number of $6 and $4 tickets respectively

Question states***

 $6x + $4(3x) = $2052

Solving for x

    18x = 2052

      x = 114, number of $6 tickets.  342  $4 tickets sold   (3*114)

CHECKING our Answer***

   $6*114 + $4*342 = $2052
