You can put this solution on YOUR website! The domain of |x| + |y| = 1 is the interval [-1,1]. It is not a function, because, suppose x = -0.5. Then 0.5 + |y| = 1, or |y| = 0.5, or y = 0.5, -0.5 (two values).
