You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your first step is correct:
-2x+5y-6=-11
6+-2x+5y-6=-11+6
-2x + 5y = -5

However, the next step is incorrect. You need to "UNDO" the -2x by adding +2x to both sides of the equation. It should look like this:
2x -2x +5y = 2x - 5
5y = 2x -5

Next, you must "UNDO" the 5 that was multiplied by the y. In order to "UNDO" multiplication, you must DIVIDE both sides by 5. There are two ways to write this:
%285y%29%2F5+=+%282x-5%29%2F5
y=+%282x-5%29%2F5

OR YOU CAN WRITE:
+%285y%29%2F5+=+%282x%29%2F5+-5%2F5
+y+=+%282%2F5%29x+-1

Both answers are correct.
