Question 184279: How do you find the slope of:
y-2=0

Answer by MathGuyJoe(20) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you can get your line into slope-intercept form:
+y+=+mx+%2B+b+
The slope is m and the y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis) is b.

In this case, we have:
+y+-+2+=+0+, or
+y+=+2+

Another way to think of this line is:
+y+=+0x+%2B+2+ (since zero times anything is zero)

That means the slope of the line is 0 (which represents a horizontal line). Here's the graph of the line +y+=+2+:
graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-3%2C+3%2C+-3%2C+3%2C+2+%29

Hope this helps. ~ Joe
