Can you give me a detailed explanation why the line x=4 is a vertical line?
------------
You need two points to determine a line.
Plot two points with x=4 and draw a line thru them:
Let one point be (4,0); let another be (4,3)
Notice that the line is veritical no matter what
two points you pick.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For drawing a line we need points .
We find the points and join them to get the line for the given equation.
Equation is x = 4
We can find the points (x, y) by giving different values to x or y and finding corresponding values of y and x
The equation says x = 4 (it means x has a fixed value)
So whatever value of y we take the x can take only 4
Our points become (4, 1) (4, 4) (4, 0) and so on..
When we join these points we see that it is a vertical line - parallel to y-axis.

Hope the solution is clear to you. If you need any help you can contact me at jainenderkaporo@gmail.com I am also available for Online Tutoring at very reasonable rates.

Let's say you were asked to plot 10 points, and the points had
to be of the form (4,y) where y could be any number. You
might come up with
(4,3)
(4,-5)
(4,9)
(4,120)
(4,55)
(4,1000)
(4,0)
(4,80)
(4,4)
(4,-500)
If you plot these you get a vertical line
If you use any other values for y, you still get a vertical line
The only thing all these different sets of points have in common is
x+=+4. All the y values I can possible come up with will
be on that vertical line
