I will give the solution for the first set, where the meaning is clear.


The set contains 4 integer numbers 1,2,3,4.


Hence, the number of all subsets is 2%5E4 = 16.


Exclusing one improper subset, you obtain 16-1 = 15 proper subsets.    ANSWER
