Question 1117833: Hello! The problem that I'd be putting was already solved by me, but I just really want to make sure if the process I did is right. Please, tell me if this solving is right. Thank you in advance! :D
What is the percentage commission if a salesman gets P750 from a total sales of P10,000?
Commission (C) = Rate (R) x Total Sales
750 = (x) (10,000)
750 = 10,000x
750/10,000 = 10,000x/10,000
0.075 = x
Then, I changed the decimal answer to percent. -> 7.5%
Trial and error: 10,000 x 7.5% = P750
Is this correct? Thank you! :)
