Question 984410: Confused about what Area means?
In Area, it's always the length times the width right? so the two are completely dependently on each other to make logical sense one another. Like if it's an 8x7 square, 8in wide and 7in high, that goes vice versa too, right? The way I understand, which I don't know if it is correct. But I think of it like one goes first, so if it's 8in wide then I think of 8 1x1in boxes shooting up vertically to infinity. Yet, then 8 1x1in boxes shooting across horizontally gives it its parameters or it's true dimensions? so one needs the other to make it all make sense. is this correct? I feel like I don't understand what area is. Or what happens visually. Also, when it's 1x1 again, is this the smallest possibel capacity because i think of it shooting horizontally and vertically. But is this actually calculating all the space and capacity or is there more.
