There is no way to know the exact amount that was earned in the third week. All you know is that for the first 4 weeks he earned a total of $1600 and that over the entire 6 weeks he earned $3000. Furthermore, since the last two weeks were constant, he must have earned $700 per week. But since there is no information that tells you how the salary was distributed across the first 4 weeks, all you can say for certain is . Hence, none of the answers given are any more or less correct than any of the others.
