system%28-7x+-+2y+=+-13%2Cx+-+2y+=+11%29

Solve one equation for one variable in terms of the other variable, and then substitute this into the other equation. Four different ways to go using the substitution method, if that is what you know so far.

From second equation, x=2y%2B11.
Simplifying First equation, 7x%2B2y=13.
Substitute for x into the first equation: 7%282y%2B11%29%2B2y=13
14y%2B77%2B2y=13
14y%2B2y%2B77=13
16y%2B77=13
FINISH THIS ON YOUR OWN.

-7x - 2y = -13
x - 2y = 11

- 7x - 2y = - 13 ------ eq (i)
x - 2y = 11 ------ eq (ii)
- 8x = - 24 ------ Subtracting eq (ii) from eq (i)
Find x, then substitute that value in any of the above equations to determine y. Do you think you can do that?
