Let cost of football be F, and cost of basketball, B

Therefore, F + B = 65______B = 65 - F ------ eq (i)

Also, _____ ------- eq (ii)

 ------ Substituting 65 - F for B in eq (ii) 

2F = 65 - F + 10 ------- Multiplying by LCD, 2

2F + F = 65 + 10 

3F = 75

F, or cost of a football = , or $
