You can put this solution on YOUR website! Total sales = 600
Some part of the sale was done with 10% VAT, some with 25% VAT
Total VAT = 135
Assume x dollars of sales was with 10% VAT. That means (600 - x) was sold at 25% VAT.
VAT for x dollars at 10% =
VAT for (600 - x) at 25% =
But the above 2 have to add up to 135. So we get the equation

So,
USD 100 of sales was at 10% VAT (which translates to USD 10)
USD 500 of sales was at 25% VAT (which translates to USD 125}
Total VAT = 135
