Examples: 4 and 5 are consecutive. 12 and 13 are consecutive. 77 and 78 are consecutive. Also, 78 and 79 are consecutive. If you subtract consecutive integers, you always get 1. There cannot be an integer between consecutive integers.
On the other hand, 77 and 79 are consecutive odd integers and 78 is in between. Is that what you were looking for? Consecutive odd integers are odd numbers that follow each other in order, like 5 and 7 for example. 21 and 23 are also consecutive odd integers.
