You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The length of a rectangle is 3 more than twice its width.
1.L=3%2B2W
The perimeter is 48 feet.
P=48
In terms of length and width, the perimeter of a rectangle is,
P=2L%2B2W
2.2L%2B2W=48
Use eq. 1 and substitute into eq. 2 for L,
2.2L%2B2W=48
2%283%2B2W%29%2B2W=48
6%2B4W%2B2W=48
6%2B6W=48
6W=42
W=7
Now use eq. 1 to solve for L.
1.L=3%2B2W
L=3%2B2%287%29
L=3%2B14
L=17
