In right triangle ACD, use the Pythagorean theorem to 
find the hypotenuse AC.

Since the bearing angle from A is 30o, angle BAC is 
its complement, or 60o.

Since ABC is a 30-60-90 right triangle, we can
use the fact that the sides are in the ratio 1:√3:2,
to set up the proportional equation:

Solve for BC.
