You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

(a)  C(x) = 1000 + 250*x    dollars.

     R(x) = 500x            dollars.

     P(x) = R(x) - C(x) = 500x - (1000 + 250x) = 250x - 1000  dollars.

(b) To answer (b), solve the equation

         P(x) = 12000 dollars, which is the same as

         250x - 1000 = 12000.

     The solution in steps is

        250x = 12000 + 1000 = 13000

           x                = 13000%2F250 = 52 computers.   ANSWER
