Both numbers must be multiples of 3; and the larger must be twice the smaller.

So 3 and 6 certainly satisfy the conditions.

And if the smaller number were any multiple of 3 greater than 3, then the GCF of the two numbers would be greater than 3.

So the two numbers are 3 and 6.
