You can put this solution on YOUR website! A hemispherical tank full of water is emptied by a pipe at the rate of 25/7 litres per second. How much time will it take to empty half the tank, if it is 3m in diameter
-------------
r = 1.5 meters --> for 1/2 the sphere.
----
"1/2 the tank" is
---
Using 1.5 meters gives cubic meters.
1 cubic meter = 1000 liters
----
time = liters/(liters/sec) in seconds
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4/3*pi*r^3 is the volume
The diameter is 3, so the radius is 3/2=1.5
Now find the volume which will equal the amount of water in the tank.
4/3*pi*1.5^3 Follow the order of operations:
4/3*pi*3.375
4/3*10.60
(4*10.60)/3 = 14.13 is the volume
I ran out of time. Divide 14.13 by 25/7 and you get your answer.
