You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I recommend that you clear the fractions by multiplying both sides of the equation by the LCD, which is 24. That will clear the fractions and make it easier to solve.

x+%2B+5%2F8+%2B+%283x%29%2F4+=2%2F3+%2B5x
24%2A+x+%2B24%2A+%28+5%2F8%29+%2B+24%2A%28%283x%29%2F4+%29=24%2A%282%2F3%29+%2B24%2A5x
24x+%2B+3%2A5+%2B+6%2A3x+=+8%2A2+%2B+120x
24x+%2B+15+%2B+18x+=+16+%2B+120x
42x+%2B+15+=+16+%2B+120x

Subtract 120x from each side:
42x+-+120x+%2B+15+=+16+%2B+120x+-+120x+
-78x+%2B+15+=+16
-78x+=+1

Divide both sides by -78:
x+=+-1%2F78

That's UGLY! But that's what I got!! You had better check my math, because I make a LOT of mistakes, and it's getting LATE!!
